Doxycycline is an antibiotic treatment option for bacterial respiratory infections, ornithosis/psittacosis, and mycoplasma in pigeons and cage birds. This powder is water soluble for use in drinking water.

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum tetracycline-class antibiotic used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria such as; chlamydia psittaci, psittacosis(parrot fever, ornithosis), e-coli, and mycoplasma in pigeons, cage birds and pet birds.

Doxycycline in known to be safe to use for extended periods when treating chronic conditions such as Campylobacter, Staph aureus, and Osteomielites.

Consult a veterinarian for species specific dosing.

Treatment:

1 teaspoon (5 grams) per 1 gallon of drinking water for 7-10 consecutive days. Change water daily.

Warning: 

This product is formulated for pet birds only. Do not use on livestock or other animals intended for human consumption.

Contents: 

20g of Doxycycline per 100g of product.

1 gram of powder contains 200mg of Doxycycline. For accurate dosing use of a gram scale is recommended over using kitchen measuring devices (measuring spoons) when working with antibiotics.

Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and sun.
