Medpet Hen Fertility Tablets are oral tablets to use to help increase fertility in female birds before and during breeding seasons. Hen Fertility tablets contain Vitamin E and Magnesium Sulfate. Magnesium Sulfate is essential to nerve and muscle cellular metabolism.
Vitamin E is also used to treat neurological issues such as wry neck and stargazing. Vitamin E helps reduce inflammation. Breeds of chickens with vaulted skulls are especially prone to wry neck due to the anatomy of their skulls and the unusual effect if has on the brain. Reducing inflammation can aid in the treatment of wry neck. Selenium is needed for the body to process E properly but must be used in moderation as selenium toxicity is also a concern. Foods high in selenium are sunflower seeds, meat and eggs, which can be given as a treat.
