The active ingredient in Endocox is toltrazuril, which is highly effective in combating coccidiosis infections in birds.

Coccidiosis is common in young birds and also can affect older birds when their immune system is compromised. Coccidiosis is a parasitic disease of the intestinal tract of animals caused by coccidian protozoa. There are numerous strains of this protozoa and fast treatment is necessary for good outcomes.

Damage to the intestinal tract from coccidiosis can lead to compromised digestion and even death. Coccidiosis can reoccur due to exposure to a different strain than the precious infection or not properly medicating to cover the entire lifecycle of the organism.
