DAC 1 + 1 Cure – Why We Like It:

DAC 1 + 1 Cure powder is a water soluble, combination medication containing doxycycline and bromhexine, for use in the treatment of respiratory infection in birds that are also struggling with viscous and excessive respiratory mucus. Doxycycline is the antibiotic in this formula and is combined with the mucolytic bromhexine. Bromhexine can increase comfort of your bird(s), and their ease of breathing, while being treated for respiratory infection, improving outcomes. Doxycycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is a good choice for most respiratory infections.

Product is labeled for use in pigeons. Consult a veterinarian for questions related to species specific dosing.

We offer two strengths of this product. This product is better suited for small birds or in combination with another treatment. Do NOT mix products containing Bromhexine with Furlatadone.

We always recommend giving your animals probiotics after antibiotic use such as Healthline Restore Pro-Biotic or Vetafarm Probiotic to restore healthy bacteria in their digestive system.

Indication:

Use for treatment of respiratory Infections with viscous and excessive mucus.

Composition:

• Bromhexine HCL 2%
• Doxycycline HCL 5%
• Inactive Ingredients- Q.S. to 100g

Per gram of powder:

Bromhexine…..2mg

Doxycycline…….5mg

Directions for Use:

As a treatment, mix 5g per gallon of drinking water for 5-7 consecutive days

This cure may be repeated if necessary, after a few days.

Advice: A multivitamin, such as DAC Multivit B12, should be given to your birds for at least one day after medication and as a maintenance dose once a week.

Do not give the day of shipping. 

For accurate dosing use of a gram scale to weigh the product is recommended over using kitchen measuring devices (measuring spoons) when working with antibiotics.

Notes:

• Be sure no other water (and no grit and limestone) is available during the treatment.
• BROMHEXINE MAY NOT BE COMBINED WITH FURLATADONE.
• May be mixed equally with Ronidazole.
• Limited storage life once opened.
• For avian use only.

Store dry, out of reach of direct sunlight, between 0°-30° Celsius (32°-86°F). Keep out of reach of children.
