Bromhexine Powder – Why We Like It:

Bromhexine Powder is a water soluble powder that is added to birds drinking water and contains the mucolytic, bromhexine, which is used to break up viscous or excessive mucus that can cause respiratory difficulties.

Use of Bromehexine is non curative of infection. If your bird has a respiratory infection they also need treatment with an antibiotic product appropriate to their condition and species. We have a selection of antibiotic products for respiratory infection treatment that can be used in combination with this medication. Use of this product can increase comfort of your bird(s), and their ease of breathing, while being treated for respiratory infection, improving outcomes.

Product is labeled for use in pigeons and pet birds. Consult a veterinarian for questions related to species specific dosing.

Manufacturers Information:

A Highly effective drying agent of mucus in upper and lower respiratory tracts caused by infection. Combining with a respiratory antibiotic is highly recommended. Never combine with Furaltadone.

Ingredients:

2% Bromehexine Hcl (20mg/g)

Dosage:

1 teaspoon (5 grams) per gallon of drinking water for 4 days. Change water daily.

We highly recommend using a gram scale for accurate dosing of powdered medications.

Warning: This product is formulated for pet birds only. Do not use on livestock and other animals intended for human consumption.

Storage:

Store dry, out of reach of direct sunlight, between 0°-30° Celsius (32°-86°F). Keep out of reach of children.
